This reportage is about adolescents, whose personal stories are quite simple, and have nothing special to account for, except work and shared interests. What unites them is the surprising fact that these youngsters grew up in areas where education and jobs were almost non-existent. They rubbed shoulders with people who are dedicated to every sort of crime imaginable. More than often as friends, they enjoy a night out at a discotheque or playing billiards, to only discover one day they have been arrested for a hold-up, or worse, killed.
It is extremely hard to stay “on the right side of the law” in this part of town, and must not be overlooked. It requires courage and a real effort for change by a part of the population when, in the press or on TV, they are all depicted as being responsible for purse-snatching, robbery, or murder.
