The ruins of Pompei are visited by 2,5 Mio. people from every part of the world each year. In 1997 the Archaeological Areas of Pompei as well as Herculaneum and Torre Annunziata were inscribed as World Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO. This reportage has been realised for National Geographic Italy.
